Considering how well our representatives have done in the increasing spending department, particularly of late, it seems that spending cuts are highly unlikely and that tax increases are imminent. Based on the comments Obama made about tax increases earlier this week, I'd say that he already has his mind made up to increase taxes and he knows it's political kryptonite. Paygo and the "executive budget commission" are his attempts to keep his fingerprints off of the coming increase.
